Matt McCord – Director of Operations

Matt McCord worked in the real estate industry before joining BMOC in 1994. At BMOC he accomplished a working scholarship and graduated with a degree in Accounting from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Matt worked full time with BMOC while attending classes. During this time he was learning the business of property management while learning the academic accounting side.

Matt responsibilities include bookkeeping, leasing, collections, evictions, payment scheduling, and investor or board contact. Matt presence on-site helps and provides insight to problems that could occur. Matt has worked with over 300 students a year while also dealing with over 60 market rate conventional apartment units.

Matt feels that his strengths are working with Fraternity and Sorority houses in a Greek environment. Matt understands the workings of a Greek house and does not confuse that of the operations of conventional apartments but rather, uses the tools of the apartment industry while respecting the membership goals. BMOC with Matt’s assistance has saved many houses on Langdon Street from bankruptcy. Today we have collectively worked with over 10 different houses in some fashion or another. We have sold and bought houses while representing the owner and helped preserve landmarks to Greek ownership. We also specialize in relationship between houses in the case of rental of a fraternity house to another.

BMOC brings over 22 years experience in serving the Greeks on this campus and is the direct leader in this market. Matt brings almost 10 years of experience himself in this field and working with the Greek market and his leadership and experience is unmatched.
